As part of the international Peace Week, Servas Peace Netherlands and Servas Peace Belgium/Luxembourg are organizing a Peace Walk on Sunday, September 20, 2026.

This circular walk of less than 16 km starts and ends at the World Peace Flame, Prinsestraat 17, Cadzand-dorp. Please note: do not confuse this location with the Peace Monument in Cadzand-Bad.

We depart at 10:30, led by Kurt Boelens, and walk past the Zeeland polders, the old ramparts in Retranchement, a 27-hectare nature reserve, the “Wire of Death” (a reminder of WWI), the beach, and along the Zwin channel.

The walk can be shortened upon request.

This walk will take place regardless of the weather forecast.

Afterward, we can have a meal together at L’Angolo restaurant (Erasmusweg 1), just a three-minute walk from the World Peace Flame. We will handle the reservation if you register with us by September 12 via one of the email addresses below:

For Be/Lux members: You might want to make a weekend of it in Zeeland so you are nearby for this peace walk in Cadzand. Katty intends to compile a list of Be/Lux participants and share the names and email addresses within the group so that arrangements for accommodation or transport can be made among yourselves.
