Peace Walk 2026 on the road
Peacewalk with Servas is about moving toward a collective dream — a felt experience of peace and hope that many of us now know is possible. The more spaces that contemplate peace instead of war and conflict, the more people become equipped with the tools needed to gently walk with these difficult topics: to increase their capacity to hold tension, to practice loving kindness, and to accept whatever feelings arise within themselves or within the other.
In many ways, this isn’t ideology. It isn’t naive dreamers or hippies escaping reality.
I’m curious to discover what will happen a year from now, once this walk has ended. Whatever its impact may be outwardly, for me it has already worked its magic. It has shaped and carved something deep within me.
I feel grateful for this experience. It arrived at a moment where I didn’t expect it, and it caught me by surprise to realize how deeply I’ve become involved in a peace project over such a long time. Yet here I am now, believing in the not-so-impossible dream of peace.
And if you wonder how I came to these conclusions, I can only say this: it comes from a felt experience I cannot fully express in words. You can encounter it on the road. When people genuinely move toward peace together, something happens. A kind of magic.
