As a sign of Peace, the clouds parted and we were blessed with sunshine during our short walk through the Vinderhoutse forest.

We set out with the intention of giving shape to the concept of Peace; an idea, a color, a concept, a symbol, an opinion, an explanation….

Servas also invited non-members, who were present in large numbers to receive information about the ServasBe&Lux Peacewalk.

Servas member Regine Laverge treated us to her act ‘Cimetière chinois’, which had a link to our war history; a plea to commemorate the sacrifice made by 1,900 workers from China during WWI as “CHINESE VOLUNTEERS”.

The Servas Belgium&Luxembourg Peacewalk starts on May 8 in Eupen and arrives in Cologne on May 15.
