Servas International is an international, non-governmental, multicultural hospitality organization with more than 15.000 members all over the world.  Servas International promotes world peace by offering a platform for personal contact between people of different nationalities and diverse cultural backgrounds.

We started in 1949 as Peacebuilders and have grown ever since. You can read our history.

The organization is run by an international executive committee which is elected every 3 years during the Servas International Conference and General Assembly (SICOGA), an assembly where representatives gather from all countries.  See here some pictures of the last meeting in India in 2022.

We thrive on the enthusiasm of our hosts and our boards worldwide who are all volunteering to make the Servas experience wonderful. We are a completely non-commercial organization.

Since 1973 Servas International (SI) has consultative status as an international non-governmental organization, iNGO, at the United Nations. This makes it possible for SI to be active at the premises of the United Nations in New York City in the USA, Geneva in Switzerland and Vienna in Austria.
