Servas BeLux

Hosting Experiences

As a Servas Host

You open your house for Servas guests
You spend time together, interact, converse, share your daily life with them
You are open-minded and have a genuine interest in other people (learning both ways)
You can host safely, since all Servas travelers are known by their local coordinator

You do not have to

change your life: they are guests in your daily life and they should adapt to your daily rhythm/schedule
become their tour guide nor entertainer

You are welcome as a Host Member of Servas:

You can be any age, have any kind of living situation
You don’t need to be a peace activist or a green hero to join Servas, but we hope you can subscribe to our values

Be aware things can be completely different from what you expected.
But maybe that might even be the nice thing about Servas.

Servas visits and friendship should not only be with members of other countries. Doris and Charles cycled from Jesus Eik to Roos and Jo in Leuven. They had an enjoyable afternoon and were spoiled with wild garlic soup and a piece of cake.

Naomi from South Korea toured Europe all over this year and did a two-day stop in Ghent. She taught us how to make Korean sushi!
